It all begins with an idea.

Garden Retreat, Hampshire

This is our Garden Retreat project, which we completed for a client in Hampshire. We collaborated with the client on the design of the project, while also being given the freedom to add our own finishing touches. The specification for the job was to create an escape that exudes luxury, just a few steps away from home.

Initially, TTC was brought onto the site to install a new swimming pool to replace the old, worn-out fibreglass pool. During the pool construction, the client made some passing comments about the idea of converting or rebuilding the existing pool house, which was looking quite tired. I was immediately captivated by the concept. After the pool was completed and a few months had passed, the client and I revisited the idea of a new pool house. With the client’s expertise in AutoCAD, we quickly created a detailed vision on paper. We collaborated on the final design of the build, including the choice of materials and features that would enhance the client’s experience and value.

Once the foundations were set and a plan was in place, we got cracking with the construction. Throughout the project, we had a lot of fun, with a ping pong match of ideas that kept everyone involved and motivated. The finished product included the following features, with no expense spared:

- Guest bedroom with an en-suite shower room

- Bespoke bedroom furniture and clothes storage

- Office with bespoke storage units and a desk

- Lounge/entertaining area with a media wall

- Fully fitted kitchen

- Storage cupboard

- Pool changing room

- Pool plant room

- Air conditioning throughout
